The LEADERS Institute provides leadership development opportunities for women in Community Colleges across the country. Over the course of 28 years of successes, a coalition of more than 6,000 women leaders has been established.
Graduates of LEADERS are recognized for their excellence in collaboration, encouragement and support for each other through an informal LEADERS network, appreciation that many styles of leadership co-exist, and continuing expansion of their professional talents based on a strong personal foundation. The LEADERS Institute promotes the development of leadership skills and qualities at every level in community college administration and education.
The LEADERS curriculum is based on the AACC Competencies for Community College Leaders and includes focuses on the following areas:
